The following items of noted public interest are on the agenda for the Thursday, Dec. 5, meeting of the Ramona Community Planning Group, held at 7 p.m. at the Ramona Library:

  • Informational presentation by Caltrans on the Median Barrier Corridor Study SR-67 Proposal, Willow Rd to Shady Oaks.
  • Informational presentation by SDG&E on a proposal that would result in the construction, operation and maintenance of a Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Facility on SDG&E land near an existing substation on Creelman Lane.
  • The planning group will consider funding options for improvements to the Highland Valley/Dye Rd/Hwy 67 Intersection. One option is to delay the Ramona St. extension funding for four years and the Dye Road extension funding for one year. If these adjustments are made, funding the intersection project will be possible much sooner, according to the RCPG agenda.
