This group gathers for easy-to-moderate hikes of about an hour each Saturday morning in Ramona. We are currently meeting at 7:30 a.m. due to the heat.
This Saturday, we'll hike around the base of Stone Mountain, which is an unpaved trail of about 3 miles roughly opposite San Vicente Golf Resort, off San Vicente Road in San Diego Country Estates.
Meet and park on Camino Arriba, a short road opposite the entrance to Country Villas East. See attached map.

The trail is undulating in places but mostly level. It will take you through neighborhoods in the Estates and alongside Gunn Stage Road and Ramona Oaks Road.
If you are late but have a walking partner, come along anyway. Watch out for snakes and bring water and a cell phone.
