Ron Roberts To Give State of the County Speech Tonight

The Board of Supervisors chairman is expected to outline an ambitious job-creating infrastructure construction plan and a wireless emergency services initiative.

Each year in San Diego, the chairman of the Board of Supervisors offers a speech summing up the priorities and goals of this region's largest government agency for the new year.

Tonight's State-of-the-County speech by Supervisor Ron Roberts is expected to include news of an "ambitious job-creating infrastructure construction plan," according to a County news release.

Roberts also intends to discuss new health-related programs, introduce a wireless emergency services initiative, update plans for the waterfront park and present the inaugural Chairman’s Award, a specially sculpted reduced-scale replica of the iconic Guardian of the Water.
