New Cabins Debut Tuesday at William Heise Park

The park near Julian now has the most cabins of any county park.

William Heise Park near Julian now offers the most cabins of any park within the county system. The eight latest additions were officially opened by County Supervisor Dianne Jacob and other dignitaries at a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Each cabin sleeps up to six people and is furnished with bunk beds, tables and chairs. The cabins have heating, WiFi Internet access, a fireplace and an outdoor picnic table with a fire ring and grill.

Willaim Heise Park is approximately four miles southeast of the intersection of state highway 79 and Pine Hills Road. The street address is 4945 Heise Park Rd.

The park will now have 14 cabins, 103 tent sites and two group camping areas.
