Investigators Seek Public's Help in Ramona Woman's Death

Anyone who has information about the death of an elderly woman in a mobile home park on Tuesday is asked to contact law enforcement.

Authorities on Wednesday had not released the name of a woman found dead in her Ramona home on Tuesday, but they are asking the public for any information available about the incident.

According to family accounts, the woman's name was age 94.

Investigators have not released the cause or manner of her death. said she was still active in the community and they are shocked.

Paramedics responding to a medical alert call found Freeman's body in a bedroom in her home at Ramona Terrace Estates at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Her body showed "," a Sheriff's Homicide spokesman said.

Investigators from Ramona sheriff’s substation, U.S. Border Patrol (assigned to Sheriff's Homicide), Homicide Detail, and Crime Lab are participating in this investigation.

A cause and manner of death, as well as a positive official identification will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
