Intermountain Fire & Rescue Raises Funds Saturday

Firefighters were at Rubio's Baja Grill raising funds and greeting the public. Two of their fire and rescue units were on display.

A backcountry fire department that has assisted Ramona during the Cedar and Witch Creek fires in 2003 and 2007 was in Ramona raising funds for their operation Saturday.

Firefighters from Intermountain Fire & Rescue had two units on display in the Stater Bros. parking lot on Main Street. They were raising funds through restaurant. The restaurant will donate 20 percent of the cost of meals that were purchased 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday to the fire department.

One firefighter went home with more than he might have expected from the day's event. Firefighter J. T. Riley adopted a small white dog from a man outside Stater Bros.
