Police Seize Drugs, a Weapon, 50 Marijuana Plants and Make 13 Arrests in Ramona

Ramona and Poway law enforcement made the arrests and seizures in two incidents over 24 hours.

Ramona and Poway law enforcement agencies participated in a joint operation that resulted in 13 arrests in Ramona over two days last week for charges ranging from drug possession, marijuana cultivation, and an illegal weapon according to a report by the Ramona Sentinel.


Deputies from the Ramona Sheriff's Station with help from the Poway Criminal Apprehension Team served a warrant in the 800 block of B Street the evening of August 21. Oxycotin, methamphetamine and an illegal weapon were seized. Six people were arrested, including Angel Lopez, who was identified as a member of a local street gang on parole, according to the Ramona Sentinel.

The two agencies served another warrant the night of August 22 in the 2800 block of Willow Oak Drive. That night the authorities seized 50 marijuana plants, heroin and meth. Seven people were arrested for a variety of crimes related to the seizures.
