Ramona Woman Seriously Injured in Crash on Wildcat Canyon Rd.

A motorist from Ramona suffered major injuries in a two-vehicle crash Thursday near Barona, authorities said.

A Mitsubishi Galant and a Chevrolet truck collided shortly before 7 a.m. at the intersection of Wildcat Canyon and Featherstone Canyon roads, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Galant was headed northbound and had just finished a pass over two solid yellow lines, when she lost control, said CHP Officer Kevin Pearlstein. He said the Mitsubishi veered to the left, directly into the path of travel of the pickup and the driver of the pickup had no time to perceive or react to this. The passenger side of the Mitsubishi was struck by the front of the pickup.
