No Injuries in Three-Car Crash on San Vicente Road

CHP said that speed was a factor in the crash that involved a 2 year old.

Three cars were involved in a minor crash on San Vicente Road Wednesday evening, though no one was injured, CHP Officer Ed Aguirre told Patch.

The crash, which happened around 5:10 p.m. on San Vicente Road north of Barnett Ranch Preserve, involved three vehicles: a Ford Explorer, A Chevy Silverado and a Toyota Cressida.

Aguirre said that five people were involved, including a 2-year-old, but that no one was injured and everyone was wearing their seatbelts and secured in carseats.

According to Aguirre, "unsafe speed when traffic slowed down" was the cause of the crash.

The Cressida stopped to make a left hand turn and the Silverado, which was traveling behind the Cressida, also slowed down, according to Aguirre. He said that the third car in line, the Explorer, was traveling too fast and hit the Silverado which then hit the Cressida.

No citations were given, Aguirre said, but the driver of the Explorer was labeled at fault.
