Motorcyclist Seriously Injured on Rt. 78

The 24-year-old male loses control of his Triumph and is transported to a hospital.

A 24-year-old man riding a Triumph motorcycle on San Pasqual Valley Road Friday night failed to negotiate a curve and struck a hillside berm, according to San Diego police.

“He ended up getting transported to a local hospital trauma center with a serious head injury,” said Officer Frank Cali.

The motorcyclist was traveling eastbound just before 6 p.m. when he crashed near 17700 San Pasqual Valley Rd., between San Diego Zoo Safari Park and Ramona, Cali said. A police report stated the driver had a suspended license and did not have a motorcycle endorsement on his license.
