Update: Ramona Man Dies in Accident on Wildcat Canyon Road
The one-vehicle accident happened near Muth Valley Road on Tuesday.
A 54-year-old Ramona man died Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle accident on Wildcat Canyon Road in Lakeside.
The crash was reported shortly before 1:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The victim died at the scene. His name had not been released by the Medical Examiner's Office as of 9 a.m. Wednesday.
The man was in a black 2004 Ford F150 extra cab truck which left the road and hit an embankment, said Brian Pennings of the CHP. The accident left the road blocked near Muth Valley Road into the mid-afternoon, the CHP reported.
