Update: 17-Year-Old Girl Suffers Minor Injuries After Rollover Accident

"Low tire tread and slick roads" seemed to have contributed to the accident, a Cal Fire captain at Station 81 told Patch.

A 17-year-old girl was transported to Pomerado Hospital after her car flipped over onto its roof on the 22400 block of San Vicente Road Friday evening, Ramona Fire Department/Cal Fire Station 81 said.

According to Cal Fire, the young driver lost control of the car and it flipped over onto its roof. No other cars were involved.

California Highway Patrol reported the car as a Ford Escape.

The accident was reported at 4:28 p.m. and California Highway Patrol issued a sig alert.

Ramona Fire Department/Cal Fire said the driver had "apparent minor injuries," but that she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.

CHP logged 291 accidents Friday between midnight and 4 p.m.
