World Responds as Hope Vineyard Pastor Lies in Coma

Calls come in from around the globe where Clement has ministered.

Pastor Robert Clement of has been in a coma in hospital since falling while on a walk Sunday.

Clement, in his mid-60s, has undergone brain surgery and is in critical condition.

Calls are coming into Hope from all over the world this week, as people who have known Clement through his global ministry hear the news. Clement and his late wife, Jean, served 15 years in the global ship ministry Operation Mobilization. Jean Clement, a Barnett Elementary School teacher, died in 2005. Clement has two adult children, Donald and Hanna. His sister, who lives in England, is expected to arrive in the United States on Sunday.

As news of Clement's coma reverberates around Ramona, people from other churches have been contacting Hope to let the congregation know they are praying, said Associate Pastor Sherrie Day. Hope is a member of Ramona Evangelical Association of Pastors (REAP).

For Operation Mobilization, Clement coordinated port entry into countries all over the world to distribute Christian books in a variety of languages. Hope Vineyard now equips and send out people to a variety of countries for mission work.
