Ramona Artist Asks About 'Grandfathered Health Plans'

Local artist Regina Wilson asks the Second Opinion Q&A Series what it means that her health insurance is "grandfathered" into the Affordable Care Act.

Artist and Ramona resident Regina Wilson told the KPBS and Voice of San Diego Second Opinion Q&A Series that her health insurance said her plan will be "grandfathered in" when the Affordable Care Act healthcare reform kicks in next year. She asked what that means.

Some insurance plans in existence before March 23, 2010, won't have to comply with all aspects of the new regulations.

A list of the exemptions for "grandfathered in" plans is at the Voice of San Diego.
