Teen, Miss Ramona Contestants Take the Stage Saturday

The show starts at 6:30 p.m. on April 6 at the Ramona Outdoor Community Center.

Seventeen contestants will take the stage at the Ramona Outdoor Community Center on Saturday with hopes of earning the Miss Ramona or Teen Miss Ramona crown.

The ladies have been preparing through the month of March on public speaking skills, resume writing, interviewing skills and more.

Unlike traditional beauty pageants, Miss Ramona is geared toward life skills, allowing girls to learn lessons that will help them in the business world.

"The girls that win, they are hard-core community servants," Miss Ramona staff member Stephanie Ogilvie told Patch back in March.

The local contestants will compete for the titles on April 6 at the ROCC. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.
