A gulf storm from Alaska swept through San Diego County Tuesday, bringing with it chilly temperatures and snowfall in Julian and beyond.
A winter storm warning was in effect Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon at noon.
The National Weather Service reported that Julian, Santa Ysabel and Warner Springs were all under the warning and that visibility may be reduced at time on the road due to fog and blowing snow.
A winter storm warning means severe winter weather conditions are expecting or occurring. The NWS says travel may be dangerous and driver should carry chains, extra food and clothing. They also advise against camping or hiking in this weather.
One to three inches of snow has been forecast for Julian during the day Wednesday.
