Gusty Winds Expected Throughout Sunday

The National Weather Service issued a high wind watch for valleys and mountains in San Diego County.

Gusty winds are expected in San Diego County's valleys and mountains this weekend, and that could mean problems for drivers.

The National Weather Service issued a high wind watch for northeast winds of 25 to 35 mph and gusts of up to 60 mph Saturday night through Sunday. The strongest winds are expected in the mountains.

The winds could make driving difficult, especially for motorists in high- profile vehicles, according to the weather service. Drivers are advised to watch for broken tree limbs and downed power lines.

NWS forecasters expect the winds to gradually diminish late Sunday.
