Storm Causes Power Outages in Santa Ysabel, Julian, Descanso and Other Areas.

Up to 98 customers in Santa Ysabel and Julian may not get power until Tuesday afternoon.

Nearly 1,400 San Diego Gas & Electric customers were without power early Tuesday because of storm-related outages.

As of 3 a.m., nine outages were in effect, from Julian to La Jolla, according to the utility's website.

All outages except for the one in the Julian/Santa Ysabel area were expected to be resolved later Tuesday morning. SDG&E estimates electricity will be restored to Julian/Santa Ysabel customers Tuesday afternoon.

In Lakeside, lightning caused 30 customers to lose power around 9 p.m. Monday.

-- 98 customers in the Julian/Santa Ysabel area;

-- two in Blossom Valley;

-- 183 in La Jolla; and

-- (in two separate areas) 34 and 119 customers in East Descanso.

Three of the nine outages were in the Live Oaks Springs/Boulevard area, where 920 customers lost power between 9:34 p.m. Monday and 12:47 a.m. Tuesday, SDG&E reported.
