Belly Dancing and Cool Summer Drinks

Ramona Chamber to host a table at the Fair in Del Mar Saturday. Sun Valley Florist welcomes a new owner. And Kenrix Sushi begins summer schedule.

If you are at the San Diego County Fair at Del Mar on Saturday, remember to stop by the Ramona Chamber of Commerce table in the pavilion in the infield. Ramona Patch will be there, along with various local businesses showing their products. Click here to see the schedule of major events for Saturday.

Frankie Berkley Newberg has taken over ownership of at 758 Main Street. She was born and raised in San Diego and raised her children in Ramona. She has been a floral designer for more than 40 years.

Meanwhile, Dan Parker is in the final stages of vacating Wrangler Dan's Mercantile. The storefront at 652 Main Street is up for lease.

began its summer entertainment schedule with the Mountain Gypsy Tribal Belly Dancers on Friday night. The group will probably perform there again within the next month. Performers do American Tribal Style Belly Dance, which is a modern style. Friday night was colorful entertainment with scarves and swords to watch while diners enjoyed their "sake tinis" — martini style drinks made with sake.

And has several new cool drink sensations to kick off summer. Check out their smoothies, iced coffee varieties and selection of frosty cold bottled drinks on a hot day. Remember they're open until 9 p.m. now on Friday and Saturday nights, so you can sit and while away the end of the work week with your favorite drink and watch the world go by on Main Street.
