[Updated] Person Trapped in Vehicle After Accident, Downed Power Lines

The accident has cause a closure of Highway 67 between Dye and Poway Roads, CHP said.

A person is trapped in a vehicle after a car collision on state Route 67 caused power lines to fall on the car, California Highway Patrol reported.

According to the CHP website, the accident took place at 8:30 p.m. near state Route 67 and Archie Moore Road.

A SigAlert was issued on the highway between Poway and Dye Roads. All lanes were open at 11:34 p.m. and the SigAlert was canceled, according to CHP.

SDG&E reported about 776 customers were out of power as a result of the downed wire. As of 11 p.m., the electric company reported that all but 10 customers had power restored.
