Intermountain Seeks New Volunteer Firefighters

Intermountain Fire & Rescue in Ramona is gearing up for the coming fire season and is currently interviewing new applicants for volunteer reserve firefighter. DEADLINE APPROACHING TO APPLY.

Has the thought of becoming a firefighter ever interested you? Intermountain Fire & Rescue in Ramona is gearing up for the coming fire season and is currently interviewing new applicants for volunteer reserve firefighter positions.

No prior firefighting experience is needed (but always a plus). You will be provided with extensive training and academy time. You must be at least 18 with a valid driver's license.

You must commit to work at least one 24 hr shift per week on a day that works for your schedule. Training and academy times are held on weeknights and weekends to accommodate working professionals.

The position is technically volunteer. However you may be eligible for stipend pay to help cover your travel and expenses.

Being a volunteer firefighter is a great way to serve your community and can prepare you for a career in paid firefighting. You'll also meet new people and tackle new challenges while acquiring new skills and increasing your physical fitness.
