This past weekend (October 5) , The Ramona High School Royal Alliance competed at the first tournament of the year at Scripps Ranch High School. The band performed their fieldshow entitled "Stars: a Tribute to America"
The band received the 1st place award for the 2A division. In addition, the band won the prestigious "Spirit of the Tournament" award. This award is given for high music performance. The band's emotional ballad "Amber Waves", which is dedicated to our soldiers, moved the crowd, resulting in receiving this award.
The percussion placed 3rd overall.
The Color Guard won the Auxiliary ( formal name for Color Guard) Sweepstakes award, meaning that they scored the highest out of eight color guards in divisions 1A-6A
The band leaders were involved in a small KUSI interview after the awards ceremony to comment on the various awards.
