Firefighters Halt Spread of Brush Fire Off SR-78 in Santa Ysabel

There are no immediate reports of structural threats.

Crews have halted the spread of a small brush fire off state Route 78, near Deer Canyon Drive in Santa Ysabel, that sparked at about 12:45 p.m., according to Cal Fire and the California Highway Patrol.

Two engines were on the scene and Cal Fire said aircraft have been deployed to battle the roughly three-acre blaze.

There were no reports of structural threats.
