It was commissioned by local resident August Barnett and dedicated to the town by Barnett and his wife, Martha, in 1894 when the town needed a suitable venue to hold dances and other events. Over the years, the hall has housed the local high school, the chamber of commerce, courts, the library and a bank; the bank vault still remains inside. The Ramona Town Hall Association holds fundraisers to enable renovations.
