Ramona Town Hall Association 729 Main St, Ramona, CA92065 Ramona's adobe town hall is one of the oldest remaining town halls in California and is one of the landmarks along Main…More Street. It was commissioned by local resident August Barnett and dedicated to the town by Barnett and his wife, Martha, in 1894 when the town needed a suitable venue to hold dances and other events. Over the years, the hall has housed the local high school, the chamber of commerce, courts, the library and a bank; the bank vault still remains inside. The Ramona Town Hall Association holds fundraisers to enable renovations.

The school serves more than 30,000 full-time and part-time students in the fall and spring semesters and 18,000 during summer. The college offers 300 associate degrees and certificate programs and it has transfer agreements with the California State University and University of California systems. It also offers noncredit enrichment classes. Half the students are age 18 through 24 and the majority of all students are employed, with many taking evening credit classes.
