Ramona's adobe town hall is one of the oldest remaining town halls in California and is one of the landmarks along MainMore Street. It was commissioned by local resident August Barnett and dedicated to the town by Barnett and his wife, Martha, in 1894 when the town needed a suitable venue to hold dances and other events. Over the years, the hall has housed the local high school, the chamber of commerce, courts, the library and a bank; the bank vault still remains inside. The Ramona Town Hall Association holds fundraisers to enable renovations.
