An attractive metal sculpture positioned at theMore southwestern end of town highlights Ramona's rural and equestrian lifestyle, setting the stage for visitors to the area. It was sponsored by the Ramona Trails Association, which is a volunteer, non-profit group that works to promote and maintain local trails for non-motorized use. Members coordinate with various government agencies to accomplish this, as well as organizations such as the Backcountry Horsemen of California San Diego Unit and Caballeros del Sol Unit, the San Diego County Trails Council and the San Dieguito River Park. The group leases land from the Ramona Parks and Recreation Association on Aqua Lane, near Community Park.
