The Guy B Woodward Museum, run by the Ramona Pioneer Historical Society, is a must stop for anyone heading to Ramona. This is a museum of early Western culture. The complex includes the Verlaque House, built in 1886, as well as an outdoor area with old buildings, antique farm equipment, a blacksmith shop , school house and more. Mr. RD Baker is always happy to give guests a guided tour. He is full of knowledge about every tool and artifact, as well as the history of Ramona; I found myself mesmerized by his storytelling skills. Just when you think the tour is over, you are taken into the basement of the home, which was originally built as a wine cellar. Today the cool basement is filed with antique treasures and artifacts. After you have enjoyed the museum, you can stroll along Ramona's Main Street and window shop in the many Old West-themed boutiques and cafes.
