National and Local Attention for the Ramona Valley Wineries and Vineyards

The accolades and opportunities to celebrate our local, Ramona Valley winemakers and vineyards just keep rolling in!

The accolades and opportunities to celebrate our local, Ramona Valley winemakers and vineyards just keep rolling in! We (Ramona Ranch Vineyard & Winery) are featured in “WineMaker Magazine” a national publication this month, with a shout-out to Hellanback Ranch, owned by Paula and John, president of the Ramona Valley Vineyard Association and Hatfield Creek, owned by Elaine and Norm, all local friends here in Ramona who make amazing wines while growing quality grapes.   At the magazine’s annual conference, held this month at Cornell University, our friend, Dr. Godwin Meniru won WineMaker Magazine’s “wine-maker of the year!”

I can’t wait to try more of Godwin’s mead’s, and have fond memories of his honey-kiwi mead from last year’s conference!

The conference will return to the west coast in 2013, and I can highly recommend it as a great, learning and fun experience, here’s the link:  http://www.winemakermag.com/stories/issue/article/issues/130-junjul-2012/1145-a-ranch-in-wine-country-dry-finish

I hope you are enjoying the story of the Ramona Valley Wineries as it unfolds,
