Ramona Country Fair Starts Thursday

The Ramona Country Fair, a Ramona Chamber of Commerce event, is upon us and families can fit in four days of festivities and fun.

Ramona Idol will be winding up with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals; live local music will provide a soundtrack for the fair and livestock will be presented at the Jr. Fair.

So pull on your boots, kick up some dirt and have fun at the fair! There is no parade this year, but there is still plenty to keep the Ramonans rowdy.

Here's a look at the Country Fair schedule:

Thursday, July 26

• 6-6:15 p.m.: Opening ceremonies
• 6:15 p.m.: Ramona Idol quarter-finals

Friday, July 27

• 6-6:15 p.m.: Opening Ceremonies
• 6:15-10 p.m.: Ramona Idol semi-finals
• 10-11 p.m.: Karaoke, if time permits

Saturday, July 28

• 9 a.m.: Jr. Fair begins and runs through Aug. 5
• noon-12:30: Ramona Ballet del Sol Folklorico dancers
• 12:30-1:15 p.m.: Live music, The Solution
• 1:30-2:15 p.m.: Live music, Cleopatra Degher
• 2:30-3:45 p.m.: Live music, Locked Out of Eden
• 4-4:30 p.m.: Ramona Julian Academy of Dance 
• 4:30-5:15 p.m.: Ramona Martial Arts
• 5:15-6 p.m.: Vocal group, Genetics
• 6 p.m.: Ramona Idol finals

Sunday, July 29

• Noon: Opening ceremonies
• 12:30-1:45 p.m.: Live music, Nancarrow Band feat. Graham Nancarrow
• 2:15-3:15 p.m.: Live music, Dusty and the Love Notes/Dusty and Indian Joe
• 3:30-4:15 p.m.: Live music, Lost Coyotes
• 4:30-6 p.m.: Live music, Jason Winters
• 6 p.m.: Idol rewind and awards ceremony
• 8-10 p.m.: Open karaoke, if time permits
