Ramona High's Travis Kerchner Offered Full Scholarship to U.S. Naval Academy

The soon-to-be senior at Ramona High was offered a full scholarship appointment for football to the prestigious academy.

Upcoming Ramona High School Senior Travis Kerchner was offered a "full scholarship 'appointment'" for football at the U.S. Navy Academy, Athletic Director Damon Baldwin announced this week.

"Travis is excited... great news for the Kerchner family and an outstanding young man," said head football coach Baldwin.

According to Damon, Travis is the third Bulldog to be offered a Division I football scholarship off of the upcoming 2013-2014 football team.

Earlier this year, Christian Drews committed to play at the University of Utah in the Pacific-12 Conference (PAC 12) in 2016 after going on his Mormon mission; and Matt Lawler, who plays tight end, committed to the Air Force Academy.
