Julian Apple Days Pie Contest

Think you whip up the best baked apple pie in town? Prove it.

Julian Apple Days Pie Contest will take plce on Sept. 30, a day before the Apple Days Festival. Drop off your homemade baked good at the Julian Woman's Club anytime from 10:30 a.m.-noon. Judging will begin at 1 p.m. and all bakers are welcome to submit.

The first prize winner will receive $300, the second prize winner gets $200 and third prize winner will receive $100. Honorable mention and commemorative participation ribbons will also be awarded.

The judges, selected from local bakeries and restaurants.

Pieces of the contestants’ pies will be sold at the , All proceeds from the sales will benefit charities supported by the Woman’s Club.

Winners will be notified by phone and are requested to be present for the prize presentation to be held at the Apple Days Festival.

Entries must be homemade apple pies, baked from scratch, and may contain berries, peaches or other fruits. The recipe and all ingredients must be listed with the entry application. All pies should be brought in disposable containers, as they will not be returned.
