Annual Civil War Re-Enactment

Come enjoy the excitement of the Civil War.

Cannons will boom and rebel yells will fill the air of North County. The Visions in Time Foundation, along with the Vista Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum, is producing their 12TH annual spring Civil War Re-Enactment at the museum on March 10 and 11.

A full-scale camp of historians, entertainers, food vendors, merchants and hundreds of Civil War re-enactors will converge.

The re-enactment will recreate the era the American Civil War, featuring real-live battle scenes complete with a battery of authentic period cannons. The two-day event will offer something for everyone, including historical tours of the museums extensive collection of antique equipment and grounds, period music, battle scenes, Civil War arts & crafts vendors and an assortment of food and drink.

Schedules for both days are as follows:

  • 10 a.m.: Camp Tours North & South
  • Noon on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday: Battles will take place
  • 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.: Artillery & field demonstrations

Walking tours of the museums displays and equipment will be offered, food and drinks can be purchased, as can crafts and goods from the era.

Prices are as follows:

  • Adults: $14
  • Senior: $12 (62 and older)
  • Children 11 & under: $8
  • Children under 5: Free
  • Active military: $7
  • Parking: $2
