Elementary Students to Race at Ramona Quadruple Crown Series

The second race in the Ramona Quadruple Crown Series for elementary school children is coming soon! It will be at Julian Elementary on Saturday, December 7th at noon, and registration is open.

This is a collaborative effort and all elementary school children in Ramona and Julian are encouraged to participate.  Kids do not need to be a member of any running club or team to join in.  The events are completely free but donations are accepted to help cover costs. 

This year, Julian Elementary is joining Ramona in hosting a race—this is an exciting development and the first year we will travel to Julian to run!  Kids are to run a least 4 of the 5 races to earn a Quad Crown t-shirt. All races are a mile in length and there is no cost to enter.   

Runners can register online at www.quadcrown2014.eventbrite.com  -- If your child intends to run the series, we encourage that you register for all the events at one time.  It’s a simple and fast process.

Below is the schedule for the event and the corresponding contact for the event coordinators.   Feel free to contact the coordinators with any questions or concerns.  Runners are encouraged to arrive at least a half  an hour before their event.  There are 5 races at each event starting with the 6th grade race with each consecutive race  following every 15 minutes.
