Coach's Corner: RHS Varsity Softball Upcoming Season

Coach McDonald tells Patch what's different about the girls team this year.

With a scrimmage behind them and their first game tomorrow in Mission Hills, the Ramona High Varsity Softball team is ready to open up the 2013 season.

Co-head coach Cori McDonald said the team saw some positive things to look forward to after this weekend's scrimmage, but also found thing that needed some work.

"[The players] were also aggressive on the bases making plays happen," McDonald wrote Patch. "We also have some defensive things to work on this week. It was a good opportunity to give every girl some playing time and a chance to play in game situations."
