Bulldogs Baseball Star to Compete in Prestigious HS Tournament

Jordan Farhat, a junior pitcher and shortstop, helped lead the Bulldogs to the CIF playoffs. His 24 RBIs tied for the team lead and his four home runs were second on the team.

Ramona baseball player Jordan Farhat is one of four San Diego-area players that have been selected to represent Southern California in the California Baseball Coaches' Association (CBCA) North-South Series, which is played this weekend at Santa Clara University. 

The other players from San Diego are: Chris Hudgins (Valhalla) Mitch Coombs (Valhalla) and Tyler Herburger (St. Augustine).

Ramona head coach Dean Welch has been named one of the assistant coaches for the South team. 

There's a doubleheader on Saturday at 2 p.m. and a single game on Sunday at 10 a.m.

The CBCA North-South Series is a prestigious tournament that has had some of the finest high school juniors in California showcase their skills each year. 

Past names in include MLB stars Dustin Pedroia, CC Sabathia, former players Jim Edmunds, Shawn Green, and Phil Nevin, and Hall of Famers Ricky Henderson and Randy Johnson.
