Amgen Tour Not Rolling Through Ramona This Year

The route for the popular cycling race, dubbed the Tour de France of California, will bypass the Ramona in 2014.

The Amgen bike race, which rolled through Ramona last year, will not be even be passing through San Diego County this year. 

The route, which changes every year, will run from Sacramento to Pasadena this spring.

According to the tour's website, the Amgen Tour of California "will bring elite cyclists from all over the world to California May 11-18 for more than 740 miles of all-out battle through 12 host cities." 

Starts and finishes will be hosted in Sacramento, Folsom, Cambria, Pismo Beach San Jose, Mount Diablo State Park, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Clarita, Mountain High and Pasadena.
