Ramona Unified School District API Score Drops 10 Points, Still Above Target

Six out of nine schools in the district lost points compared to last year's scores.

The Ramona Unified School District scored above the state target in API testing in the 2013 school year, but dropped 10 points compared to last year.

The biggest changes in school scores came from Ramona Elementary, which dropped 39 points compared to last year, and Ramona Community Elementary, which gained 11 points. Six out of nine schools in the district lost points compared to last year's scores.

The California Department of Education (CDE) recently released the 2013 Growth API for schools and districts in California. For high schools, the API measures how well students are performing on both the California Standards Tests (CSTs) as well as the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE).
