Ostermann, Tennebaum Honored By State School Adminstrators

David Ostermann and Carol Tennebaum are chosen as Administrators of the Year in two categories.

The assistant superintendent of and the principal of have been honored by a statewide school administrators organization.

David Ostermann and Carol Tennebaum have both been named Administrator of the Year — each in a different category. Ostermann received the honor in the Business Services category from the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) for all of San Diego and Imperial counties. Tennebaum has been awarded Administrator of the Year in the category of Continuation/Education Options Administrator by the same organization. 

"Due to David’s outstanding leadership in coordinating the diverse departments in Admin Services (including Fiscal, Maintenance & Operations, Foods, ESP (the Extended School Program), Benefits, Purchasing, and Transportation, along with his service to Cabinet and the Board in managing the District’s budget, David has been selected as the region’s choice as an example for others in business services administration," Superintendent Robert Graeff stated in a news release.

"Due to Carol’s superb leadership as a longtime site administrator – and most recently for her leadership at RCS – she has been selected as the region’s choice as a model of excellence in alternative school administration," Graeff stated.

Ostermann and Tennebaum will be invited to a large celebration dinner co-sponsored by ACSA and the California School Board Association later this spring where another 10 to 15 administrators across the two counties will be honored for excellence in their respective areas of leadership.
