Montecito Seniors Say: ‘Goodbye, High School; Hello, Future’
Montecito High School, Future Bound program say congrats and farewell to 66 graduates.
Sixty-six students graduated Wednesday evening from and the Future Bound Independent Study Program amid a cheering crowd of relatives and friends. Alec Baron, Montecito valedictorian, received numerous scholarships in the warm patio ceremony.
Scholarships were given by the Ramona Rotary Club, San Vicente Valley Women's Club, Sun Valley Council PTA, Sons of the American Revolution, RUSD Management Team, Montecito Star Club and the Annie Award.
Principal Cynthia Nakhshab is retiring after being at the helm for three years at the school. She began teaching in 1988 and was vice principal at Ramona High School. Dave Lohman will be the principal next year.
