Ramona Homes Are Selling for 22% More Than Last Year, Number of Sales Declining

Signs that Ramona's residential real estate market is slowing showed up in a report released Monday by the San Diego Association of Realtors, though housing prices remain well above what they were last year.

A total of 24 single-family homes were sold in Ramona last month, 17 fewer than were sold in November 2012, and down 38 percent compared to September.

The median cost of a single-family house in Ramona in November was $407,500, nearly 22 percent higher than the same month in 2012, and up $27,500 compared to the year-to-date median price, according to the statistics.

The median price of a house across the first 11 months of this year was $375,000, nearly 19 percent above the first 11 months of last year.

According to the figures, 466 houses sold in the first 11 months of 2013 in Ramona, 46 more sales over the same time frame of 2012. Also, 43 condos or townhomes were sold year-to-date.

The same report showed home sales in San Diego County were down 15.6 percent from the same month in 2012, and 11.3 percent below October of this year. The median sales price in the region was also down 1.3 percent compared to last month.
