Mount Carmel Tournament Results

The Royal Alliance Marching Band and Color Guard competed at the Mount Carmel Tournament of the Bands on Saturday, October 26.

The Mount Carmel Tournament of the Bands is one of the largest , well known marching band  tournaments. The tournament is held annually.
The tournament is split into two parts: field competition (1A-3A classes compete in the morning, and 4A-6A in the evening), and parade competition (band review).
The Band Review is where the band marches in a block down a street in a parade fashion, while playing a parade march. The color guard does a routine in front of the band. The band is judged on how well they keep the block form precise, and musical technique. The color guard is also judged by their own seperate judge.

For the field competition, the color guard earned 1st place with a score of 66. This score was lower than the one earned at the previous competition; however, the scores for the color guard division were lower for all classes at this particular tournament. The band earned first place with a score of 74.9

For the band review, the color guard earned 1st place with a 78.3, and the band earned 2nd place with a score of 86.15. The band was only behind 1st place by 0.10 points.
