Wheels and Steals: Live Public Auction at Rodeo Grounds July 14

A live auction will take place in Ramona July 14, but you can get a sneak peek of the goods July 12 and 13.

Looking for an old school bus to transform into your own customized camper? What about a new washer and dryer? A on Saturday can provide you with plenty of wheels and steals to make your own.

Surplus government property from the County and other local agencies will be up for bid July 14 at the Ramona Rodeo Grounds. Items you can expect to see lined up on the grounds include a fuel-efficient Toyota Prius, a 2002 Nissan Xterra, a 1-ton cargo van, a Honda dirt bike, a PT Cruiser, a 2006 Polaris Ranger, a W14 Case Loader (a type of earth-moving equipment), pickup trucks, a utility truck, auto repair equipment and various trailers.

Besides the plethora of wheeled-items, miscellaneous items like pallets of concrete block, new guard rail wood posts, industrial items, tools, wood and metal office furniture, electronics, TVs and various household goods are also up for bid.

TNT Auction Company will run the event July 14, but you can get a good look at the items up for auction from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. July 12 and 13. 

Registration for the auctions begins 8 a.m., Saturday, July 14. The vehicle auction starts at 9 a.m. A second auction for the remaining items starts at 10:00 a.m. Proceeds from sales will go to the appropriate government agencies.

A 10 percent buyers fee will be added to all purchases. Be sure to read the terms and conditions for the auction. All purchases must be paid for by July 16 and removed by July 17 at 4 p.m.
