Water Board Considers Rate Study for Recycled Water Project

A presentation will be given by district staff on a San Diego County Water Authority water conservation rebate program at Tuesday's meeting.

A Ramona Water Board ad hoc committee is recommending a rate study for a recycled water project at the San Vicente Water Reclamation Plant Tuesday afternoon.

At the 2 p.m. meeting, the Spangler/San Vicente Ad-Hoc will recommend that the board of directors authorize the Ramona Municipal Water District general manager to identify a qualified third party to prepare the rate study, which will be conducted to inform the ratepayers of the cost to recycle water for local farmers and the San Vicente Golf Course.

The water board will also consider sending letters of condolence to the families of the 19 fallen firefighters who perished in Arizona earlier this month, including a former San Diego County firefighter.
