Tea Party Alive and Well in Ramona—Letter to the Editor

Illegal immigration and gunrunning are the subjects for a Ramona Tea'd gathering Saturday.

In response to a about the Tea Party's influence, Darrell Beck, a Ramona resident and member of Ramona Tea'd submitted the following Letter to the Editor:

The tea party is alive and well in Ramona. On Saturday, April 28 Ramona Tea’d (Taxed Enough Already) encourages everyone to attend our 25th free public information forum at the Ramona Mainstage, Main Street, 626 Main Street, Ramona, California. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. and program begins at 12:00 noon. Radio personality, Mike Slater of 76 KFMB will moderate the forum.

Our guest speaker this month will be former president of the Arizona Senate,
Russell Pearce who will speak on illegal immigration. Mr. Pearce is the author of many senate bills including Proposition 200, proof of citizenship to vote; Proposition 203, English as the official language and Proposition 1070; a controversial bill cracking down on illegal immigration.

The illegal immigration topic is very timely as the Arizona bill is currently being debated at the U.S. Supreme Court and the court’s decision weighs heavily on our nation’s security. Related to the immigration issue, there will also be an update on the “Fast and Furious Gunrunner” scandal, including videos.
