Sandbags and Sand Available at Cal Fire’s Mt. Woodson Station

The County encourages people to use the free resources to protect their properties.

With the onset of rain in San Diego county, the Department of Public Works is providing free sand and sandbags for unincorporated residents.

Residents need to take a shovel to load the sand. Bags and sand are available at:
-- Bonita-Sunnyside Fire Department, 4900 Bonita Road;
-- Dulzura, Cal Fire Station 30, 17304 Highway 94;
-- Fallbrook, North County Fire Protection District Station 4, 4375 Pala Mesa Drive;
-- Julian, Cal Fire Station 50, 1587 Highway 78;
-- Pauma Valley-Rincon, Cal Fire Station 70, 16971 Highway 76;
-- Ramona, Cal Fire Mount Woodson Station, 16310 Highway 67;
-- Valley Center, Cal Fire Station 73, 28205 N. Lake Wohlford Road.

Bags only are available at Alpine Fire Protection District Station 17, 1364 Tavern Road.

In Ramona, residents can pick up the sand and sandbags any day, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Look for the signs to the sand bags, when you reach the fire station. The pile of sand is behind the buildings.
