Redistricting Plans Presented to Board of Supervisors Tuesday

The plans are similar and would leave Ramona's representation the same.

The Board of Supervisors was due to be presented Tuesday with three proposed plans for re-mapping the five supervisors' districts.

The plans, which are similar, would move Ron Roberts' district toward the coast and remove Pam Slater-Price from La Jolla.

Other districts would remain about the same as they are now. Dianne Jacob would continue representing Ramona and the East County.

Greg Cox would continue to have the South Bay, Coronado, downtown and Point Loma.

In North County, the proposed area covered by Chairman Bill Horn would extend from Camp Pendleton and Carlsbad east through his home area,Valley Center, to rural northeast San Diego county.

Roberts would still represent much of central San Diego, while Slater-Price would keep North County coastal areas.

The redistricting advisory committee members, who met 14 times, were assigned to redraw district boundaries based on 2010 census data.

The supervisors are scheduled to establish the new districts in votes in the next two months.
