Ramonans Are Donating for a Child’s Kidney Transplant

Community members are dropping off donations at a booth at Ramona Country Fair. We present a video of Liam Houck and his family.

People wishing to support a Ramona couple whose child needs a kidney transplant can do so by stopping by a booth at Ramona Country Fair tonight or Saturday.

Reid and Vanessa Houck are a military couple living in Ramona. Their 16-month-old son, Liam, has end-stage renal failure. His kidney is running at five percent of the usual function. He uses a dialysis machine.

The couple needs at least $50,000 to cover medical expenses not covered by insurance.
