The meeting is a first step in a project aimed at reducing the number and severity of accidents on Route 67.

Potential improvements aimed at making a portion of State Route 67 safer for motorists will be the topic of discussion when Caltrans hosts a public scoping meeting Thursday, from 4-7 p.m. at Olive Peirce Middle School, 1521 Hanson Lane, in Ramona.

The meeting is the first stage in community discussions regarding possible improvement alternatives including various median barriers for the stretch of SR-67 between Willow Road and Shady Oaks Drive.
