Name of Man Killed in Ramona Monday Released
A motorcycle accident on Highland Valley Road has claimed the life of a Temecula man.
Authorities released the name Tuesday of a U.S. Marine from Temecula who died in a motorcycle crash in Ramona on Presidents' Day.
Mark Paul Thompson, 27, was reported to be riding with friends when he lost control of his westbound 2008 Honda in the 16000 block of Highland Valley Road shortly before 1 p.m. Monday.
It's reported that Thompson was wearing a helmet. He crashed into a tree and died at the scene, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
