More Potential Suspects in Barona Slaying

The District Attorney's Office is investigating whether others may have played a part in the death of Christopher Carioscia on Barona Indian Reservation last fall. Stanley Lloyd Jr. will go to trial, charged with murder.

At the end of the preliminary hearing for Stanley Virgil Lloyd Jr. on Friday, the court heard that there may be other suspects in the slaying of Santee teen Christopher Carioscia.

The 17-year-old was found dead on Barona Indian Reservation last fall, in an isolated area near Barona Speedway.

Lloyd will go to trial on suspicion of first degree murder in the case. Jury selection is due to begin Nov. 8.

Prosecutor David Williams III spoke to Patch Friday about the ongoing investigation.
