Lakeside Shooting Suspect Identified

Sheriff's deputies are on the lookout Wednesday for a man suspected in a Lakeside shooting.

The suspect is identified as Steven Ritter, 21—a white male, 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 160 pounds. A Sheriff's Department spokeswoman said Ritter could possibly still be armed with a revolver.

Ritter has red, shaved hair, and was last seen wearing black Dickies shorts and a black T-shirt with the words, "Deny Everything," written on it, the spokeswoman said.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex in the 12000 block of Mapleview Street and was reported at about 6:30 a.m., she said.

Paramedics transported one person from the scene to Sharp Memorial
Hospital, a Heartland fire dispatcher told Patch Wednesday.

The revolver is described as silver with a black handle.
